Towards the end of 2026, I decided to start applying for jobs after a Natural Spa Factory in Bath reached out to me after seeing my CV on Indeed (i had not applied for this role, i was suggested by indeed for the role) The role was in social media and brand management, a role i was underqualified for but I was offered an interview and attended.
The job sounded amazing, and it was really insightful to learn what skills they were looking for. So I began to develop a portfolio more tailored to Branding and social media marketing, and 7 months after the interview, I have now developed the skillset required for the role and have begun applying to similar roles.
Late October 2025.
At this time I was volunteering for Bath City Fc, working twice per week around Gloucester Hosting Art workshop/paint and sip classes, and twice per week at a restaurant. I had earned the amount I had aimed to save for post graduation and decided it was time to pursue a role in my desired industry, and focus on my final semester of my degree.
I was hesitant to leave my current roles without having another secured, but I had a feeling it was the right thing to do! And it was, it allowed me to extensively apply for roles and be highly proactive in finding a job.
LATE NOVEMBER 2025
By December, I had been offered interviews for 6 UWE internships in social media and Digital Marketing and 2 interviews via Indeed for similar roles.
I had 2 phone interviews for part-time marketing/social media jobs, but I turned down in-person interviews as I felt I would not be gaining the experience i was looking for, and did not wank a role over 30 hours per week.
I made it to the 3-second rounds of interviews and received 2 internship offers.
For each interview, I printed multiple booklets that I had designed, filled with content strategies, pillars and ideas for what could bring to the role. (These will be submitted for my hand-in for Professional Practice in Illustration Level 3 )
I accepted a role at the Clifton Suspension Bridge Trust, for a Social Media & Marketing Internship, which i am currenly enroled on and loving! Click the link below to check out my work:
